  • Wrote for a national audience, more than 30 news items 1:30 in length, for "Women's Health Update" series; aired on more than 120 U.S. television stations.
  • Helped launch three news series and created title for Prescription: Health series.
  • Researched and wrote hundreds of fact sheets pertaining to medical, crime prevention, women's health and education topics. Composed newsletters, flyers, marketing materials and articles.
  • Served as Senior Writer for a national job marketing organization. Wrote thousands of resumes and job marketing materials for entry- through executive-level clients.


Film/Video Production

  • Director/Producer/Editor/Camera to create 7-minute fundraising video for Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF), a non-profit organization empowering women, girls and their families with the legal tools to achieve equal opportunities in their personal and professional lives.
  • Executive Producer/Editor/Camera for documentary "The Gay Marriage Thing" about the politics, the piety, and the people engaged in the same-sex marriage debate in Massachusetts. Now available on DVD!
  • Mentored new artists as part of the Women In Film/Video Media Mentor program. Advised college graduates and new-to-the-industry individuals on the business and creative aspects of pursuing their film and video goals.
  • Produced, Directed, Shot, and Edited a 15-minute and a 6-minute video for a multi-faceted child care agency, requiring multi-location shoots and extreme clarity of vision for the overall scope and message of the piece.
  • Edited two 10-minute montage videos for national dance company’s production of “The Stringmaker.” Consisted of a nature theme and an urban theme with artistic rendering, which were then projected onto a large-scale format.
  • Served on the Women In Film/Video Charity Grant committee. Reviewed and selected non-profit applicants to receive a promotional video written, produced and directed by the committee.
  • Produced, Directed, Shot, and Edited an 8-minute fundraising video for an urban youth center needing to raise money to serve its predominantly low-income, Spanish-speaking community.
  • Consulted on various production topics to teens in a community-based video production program to get inner-city youth interested in film/video career paths.
  • Managed logistics from locations, studio rental, and transportation to actors and set lockdown as Production Coordinator/Talent Manager on NYC human resources video shoot for international company.
  • Coordinated talent and crew as Studio Manager for a 3-camera shoot of the instructional video, The Goddess Dancing.
  • Took intensive, week-long New Film Directors workshop at the Rockport International Film & Photography Workshops.
  • Won Award of Merit for documentary "Sandy 'Spin' Slade: Beyond Basketball" from the Academy of Video Arts & Sciences, 2001.
  • Produced, Directed, Shot, and Edited "Sandy 'Spin' Slade: Beyond Basketball" (2001) -- a one-hour documentary on the unique occupation and inspiring persona of Sandy Slade, considered the best basketball handler in the world. Performed research, fundraising, budgeting, interviews, production and distribution aspects of this piece, including submission to film festivals, special venues and television stations. Also includes shooting on Sony TRV-900 and editing in Final Cut Pro on a G4 system.
  • Fulfilled Assistant Producer role for an IBM video shot in the heart of Boston. In addition to hiring crew, coordinating support materials, and scouting locations, responsibilities included obtaining all film permits, and acting as a liaison to government, police, and public park officials. Also coordinated logistics for the in-studio green screen portion of this production.
  • Functioned as Researcher and Assistant Producer of a 20-minute documentary celebrating the 70th anniversary of the American Culinary Federation (ACF). Operated QTV VPS-600LT teleprompter and coordinated supporting aspects of the production. Gathered extensive assets on the history of this chefs' organization, and worked directly with Producer and Editor to shape the final product.
  • Edited rough cut of a 3-minute piece focusing on the future of the American Culinary Federation, using a Media 100 system.
  • Served as Assistant to the Producer on the independent film "Gavin's Way," written and directed by D.R. Farquharson. Obtained a number of community contributions and assisted with various production and set duties for this low-budget picture.
  • Wrote and produced 4:30 demo tape for the leading syndicator of medical, crime prevention, women's health and education television news in the country. Worked directly with senior editor on shot selection, soundbites, graphics, music and effects.
  • As 2nd 2nd AD on one-hour TV pilot, "Eternal Embrace," locked down set, assisted Art, Craft Services and other departments, and supported 1st and 2nd AD in production capacities.
  • Served as 2nd AD for Greg Joyce's feature-length comedy, "Working Stiff." Responsible for wrangling talent and locking down the set while working with Extras, overseeing make-up & wardrobe, and coordinating production assistants.
  • As Assistant Producer for Ivanhoe Broadcast News, coordinated all aspects of in-house production including script input, voiceovers, audio/video dubs, segment topics research, and correspondence with a national network of freelance producers and TV stations.


Acting/Voice-Over (Non-Union)

  • Scene Study for Film and Television with Bates Wilder – CP Casting, Boston, March 2004
  • Played Stenographer in Max Kovalsky's post-apocalyptic, Kafka-esque feature film "Mere Formality."
  • Appeared as a Guest on "It's All About Arts," Boston's cultural television program focusing on New England artists, to discuss making films and videos in the Boston area.
  • Basics Of Acting workshop with Susan Shaw - CP Casting, Boston, 2002
  • On-Camera Auditioning workshop with Carolyn Pickman - CP Casting, Boston, 2002
  • Extra for film and video shoots, including D.R. Farquharson's breakthrough independent film "Gavin's Way" and various corporate shoots such as Citibank.
  • Intensive voice-over workshops with Wren Ross and Dan Levine.
  • Experience in directing voice-over sessions for news and documentary productions.
